I chose a snowflake to represent my story because snowflakes play a key role in a symbolic way. When I was a child, I stammered. I was very self-conscious about it, but Miss Melody told me voices are like snowflakes—each one is unique and beautiful in its own way, just like every person is. I held those words of encouragement  close to my heart and then passed them on to a hurting little girl who came into my life unexpectedly.

 

I chose the moon to represent my story because there’s a recurring theme between the Kellan and me. The moon represents happiness, wholeness, and the two of us wanting to give each other every good thing in life now that it is finally within our reach. We know that running a large ranch in an untamed territory will take a lot of work, but also a lot of understanding and love to be successful.

Welcome to Day 1 of Cowboys & Mistletoe (Week 1)

Hello, everyone, and welcome to our Cowboys & Mistletoes celebration! This year, we’re again spreading our celebration over two weeks instead of one. For this first week, we’re thrilled to reintroduce our Christmas Stocking Sweethearts series, which we have on 99 cent sale for a limited time, specifically for this event.

If you’re not already familiar with these books here’s a little bit about the series: The connecting thread is that the hero or heroine of each book is a former student of the same piano teacher, Melody Nightingale. At the opening of each book, the hero or heroine receives a package from Melody containing a very personal, handcrafted Christmas stocking and a letter written on the back of the sheet music for a Christmas carol.

This week we’ll be playing TWO games, the first one  is a guessing game where we provide you with the image of a charm and a clue, presented from the perspective of the hero or heroine, and you get to guess which of the nine books that charm goes with. This game will have one winner, randomly selected from those who make the most correct guesses. The prize is a Christmas stocking decorated with all nine of the charms/tokens/pins.

The second game we’re calling  “What’s In Your Christmas Stocking?” It’s easy-peasy and simply involves you answering the question you’ll find at the bottom of each post. A winner of a $10 Amazon gift card will be randomly selected from among the respondents of each post (9 total)

It’s Almost Here!!!

Tomorrow kicks off the first week of our annual Cowboys & Mistletoe event. And we have something really special in store for you.

First, as per usual, we have a fun and easy game to play – each post will have a question relating to something you might find in your Christmas stocking and you simply have to leave an answer in the comments to be entered in the drawing for a $10 Amazon gift card – and the great thing is that there are no wrong answers! There will be 9 authors and books featured the first week so that means there will be NINE gift cards awarded.

As you may have seen elsewhere, our fun and fabulous Christmas Stocking Sweethearts series is going on sale. That’s right, each and every one of the nine books in the series will be on sale for 99 cents during the two weeks of the Cowboys & Mistletoe event. And in honor of that we thought it would be fun to play a second game and offer a second prize. Each author selected a charm she thought spoke to some aspect of her book and we collected these together and attached them to a Christmas stocking making for a unique, one-of-a-kind, sparkly Christmas decoration which is pictured below. Your task will be to figure out which of the charms goes with which book. And to help you out, all during the week we will be posting clues. Happy Holidays, y’all! Goodness Christmas is only two weeks away…where does the time go? 2024 has been a very busy year for me.  I wrote five books…three within the span of four months. Whew! I know other authors are far more prolific than I but then again family milestones impacted my writing schedule. A new grandbaby! Grandson’s college graduation and wedding!  A fall foliage trip to New England! Adoption finalized! Son & daughter-in-law moving to North Carolina!
