Welcome to Day 4 of Cowboys & Mistletoe (Week 1)

Here are the Charms and clues for today, presented in no particular order:

A rearing stallion is a charm that speaks of my story. In her letter to me tucked inside a Christmas stocking, Melody recalls the day I calmed a wild horse during my piano lesson. It proved to be then that my love for horses and being a cowboy began.

I chose a shoe to represent my story because there’s a Christmas dance in it that is quite meaningful.

A woman on the run. A man who doesn’t want to be found. And the child that brings them together…

  1. My parents. Dad was a soldier on leave at the time they married. World War II was raging. They’d dated before he was drafted, and they’d written letters afterward.

  2. The hand carved heart with initials burned in it are my initials carved by my late husband. For our 28 years together, he always gave me hearts. Hearts always remind me of him and his love.

  3. My hubby’s and mine. It was a Christmas gift from my sister in law. My hubby’s youngest sister loves doing things like that.

  4. My son’s, who passed away way too soon. He made me several things out of wood through the years and I gave him my old woodburning set when he was old enough to use it safely.

  5. The initials I would find in a wooden heart are LP. They would be for my husband Larry Pruss. Thank you for the opportunity. God bless you.

  6. My postcard is from my twin brother Kerry in Heaven received in the mail after he earned his angel’s wings.

  7. I submitted two forms, correcting my choice for the shoe charm. I didn’t know any way to correct the first one.
