Funny Western Commercials

Have you noticed that the western is making a comeback? In commercials, at least. Every time I see a western-flavored commercial I grin. They are mostly parodies, but since I love humor, that just makes me love them all the more.

Here is my countdown of the top 5 western commercials from the last year:

#5 – Progressive’s Ranch Ad

RVs that mimic a herd of either mustangs or cattle, a dirt bike bull, and even a tame water creature. All that’s missing is the branding iron.


#4 – Hyundai Sante Fe Hybrid Ad

A French cowboy in Paris, Texas – a hybrid driving a hybrid. I enjoyed his two steppin’ at the end of the ad.


#3 – The Zoc Doc Cowboy Auction

Love the conversation between these two livestock auctioneers. Fast-paced and fun.

 

#2 – The Savings Wrangler from GoodRX

Prescriptions cost out of control? Never fear. The Saving’s Wrangler is here. With her trusty sidekick, Dusty Pete the prairie dog. Corny but super cute.

 

#1 – Skip the Drama Blizzard from Cologuard

This one is my all-time favorite, probably because it’s got the historical western romance vibe that I love so well.

  3. I’ve only seen a couple of them that I can recall. I love the one with the prairie dog on the cowgirl’s shoulder. It is cute.
    The one with the Cologuard and the open door with snow blowing in, it seems kind of lame.

  5. The funniest one I have seen recently is for a new, limited time Chick-Fil-A sandwich, the Jalapeno Ranch Club. The commercial is a hoot!

  7. I found these interesting and amusing. I liked the livestock auctioneers best, probably because I remember my dad taking me to a livestock auction when I was very young.

  13. I’ve actually only seen the Cologuard one on TV. I did watch a couple of the ones you posted. Cologuard is my favorite though, as that dude is CUTE! If they want my attention, gotta have a good-looking guy! Probably why I liked the commercial with Sam Elliot.

  14. The only one I haven’t seen is the Hyundai. I ,too, have laughed at them. It seems like there are more and more commercials with western themes and some of them make me wonder what they are advertising .

  17. I hadn’t seen the Hyundai or the Zocdoc commercials, and this GoodRX (but have seen a variation of it). Of the three I have seen, I like the Cologuard. I like the period details. The Zoc Doc one made me laugh.
