It’s my turn today on P & P and I just got this news so I decided to spread the word.
Legends of Gold is a fun turn in this series as we discover where that treasure may have come from. What exactly is it and, right here handy is Tilda who knows an odd amount about California history for an orphan raised in New York City. Why she knows so much and has such a fascination with it, is part of the mystery that she has to solve.
Legends of Gold is book #2 in the Golden State Treasure series. Book #3 is coming in October. Riches Beyond Measure.
And of course, don’t forget book #1 Whispers of Fortune.
We are right in the thick of summer now and I’ve got flowers blooming everywhere, including to my utter delight, a peace lily that was blooming when it got it three years ago at my mom’s funeral and has never bloomed again.
Now TEN BLOOMS…it started in February and new flowers just keep coming. I’m so in love with that plant. My Cowboy husband shakes his head and says he’s glad I am pleased by small and simple things.
So how about you? What small things give you pleasure.
Does making the Bestseller List count as a small thing? NO I SAY!!! But maybe the brilliantly blooming peace lily does. Tell me about a small thing that gives you pleasure. Grandbabies do NOT count either. They are HUGE.

I actually woke up to a cool morning today. We’ve had the air conditioner running night and day for a while. I can hear the mourning doves from INSIDE!!
I love my flower blooms too. Everyone of them in a new little thrill. I also enjoy fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from a few plants I have.

My pool in the backyard is my happy place in warm weather. I have a floating seat and put in my (waterproof) Bluetooth earpiece and listen to teaching or an audiobook while I just float around. Right now I am listening to With All My Heart by Heidi Gray McGill.

My garden of flowers and vegetables give me pleasure. Right now I am starting to have tomatoes ripen. They are so good right off the vine. Congratulations on your book making the bestsellers list. I have enjoyed the series so far.
Flowers of every color bring me joy. I have a peace lily from my dad’s funeral back in 2013 that is still blooming. It is getting really big.

OK, I’m basically a Pollyanna, so anything that makes me smile or gives joy COUNTS. Writing “And they all lived happily ever after. The End!” falls into that category.

Seeing the small wonders of nature gives me joy. This morning on walking my dog I saw the cutest small hummingbird sitting atop a bird of paradise plant. It is not often I see them sitting still.

We planted sunflowers for the first time and it looks like we are going to have quite a few produce flowers. Sunflowers are my boyfriend’s favorite flower. I also planted my favorite, wildflowers, in the same area. Well, let’s just cay the leaves of the sunflowers cover up a lot! hahaha
My small pleasure is having a clean kitchen table. I like to change the centerpiece on it periodically and it’s juat a nice little thing to see that clean, pretty area.

Congratulations! So happy that Legends of Gold is a bestseller. One of my pleasures is finding a book in my mailbox. Small to some people but big for me! Walking in my yard and seeing beautiful blooms among the weeds. People in my part of the country will understand because we’ve had so much rain and it’s been impossible to keep the weeds controlled. Finding the first ripe tomato in this year’s garden. My life is a lot of little pleasures that I wouldn’t trade!

I picked my first cherry tomatoes a few days ago. That is always a delightful small pleasure.
Sitting and watching wildlife is my thing. I love to watch the hummingbirds at the feeders and the flowers. When I was growing up I would hike through the fields behind our house to our sledding hill. On the back side f it, a pair of foxes had dug a den. I would sit at the top of the hill watching the parents come and go and the kits play. They were used to me and I would sit there for hours.
Being with my pets and seeing the love in their eyes. It’s not small to me, I love them very much. 2 dogs and 1 cat.
Being with the horses, llamas now at fair and grands!
