The Christmas season is here, and if you’re anything like me, you’re directly in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Shopping, baking, decorating the house, wrapping gifts, getting packages in the mail . . . It seems like every time I scratch one thing off the to-do list, three more appear to take its place.
Wouldn’t it be nice if someone sent you a big care package to help you relax and escape the madness? Wouldn’t you love to curl up with a good book, some cozy socks on your feet and a cup of tea in your hand?
Well, call me Mrs. Santa, because I aim to make one book-lover’s secret wish come true this week.
Look at all the goodies you could win!

What are some favorite bookish gifts you’ve received in Christmases past?
Some of my favorite bookish items are socks, t-shirts, and puzzles. How about you?
I have gotten some lovely fancy book marks. The giveaway did not work for me, but I am used to that with that type of giveaway. Bummer
Debby – I’m not sure why you are having trouble with the giveaway. If you will e-mail me at karen [at] karenwitemeyer [dot] com, I’ll see if I can get you manually added.
Socks and puzzles. T-shirts, too.
Those are some of my favorites, Denise!
This is an amazing give away! i often get books for Christmas and I cherish them all!
Thanks, Rhonda! I’ve received some surprise books that end up becoming favorites. Rare but so special when that happens!
Thank you for this opportunity Karen, what a sweet thing to do! Some of me favorites are Books (of course!) Book marks, Bookish puzzles, and t-shirts.
All great selections, Nadine. I always have a bookish puzzle on my Christmas wish list. 🙂
Gift cards to buy more books ?
The perfect gift for any book lover, Julie! 🙂
many Pioneer Woman items to add to my collection!
She has some great things out there, doesn’t she?
Paperbacks, my Kindle, socks that have Shhh on one and I’m reading on the other, and a necklace with books on the pendant.
That a fun necklace, Trudy! That sounds lovely.
Wow! Great prizes!
Book presents. A book charm for my charm bracelet, many years ago a t-shirt and a necklace with a small book.
Love book related presents
Thank you!
Merry Christmas!
I bet your charm bracelet is packed full of wonderful bookish charms, Laurie!
I bought myself fake wooden books to use as decoration.
I love bookish decorations! I bought some old copies of classics from a library sale years ago and use them as decorations. 🙂
Books! 🙂 T-shirt, Christmas tree ornaments, pillow.
Hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas.
Thanks, Jodie! Blessings to your family as well.
Karen, I am right along with you. I have to have my warm socks all year ’round as I tend to get chilled very easily when the air conditioning is too low for me. I chill from the feet up! And usually I am wearing t-shirts around the house. I also have to at least 2-3 jigsaw puzzles a day. It helps the memory as well as dexterity along with finding Hidden Objects in those types of puzzles. May GOD bless you this Christmas and always.
I ALWAYS have socks on. My husband can’t wait to get barefooted. Ha! We should start a cozy sock-wearers club, Judy. 🙂
I love my Kindle Paperwhite that I got one Christmas!! I also love to get Amazon gift cards to buy more books!!
The Paperwhite is my e-reader of choice, too, Kathleen. 🙂
Christmas tree ornaments are my favorite
Aren’t they fun, Elaine? Each one is so unique and carries special memories. 🙂
I received a new bookcase one year… Somehow I give more book related gifts than I receive though, I like to give books, bookish notecards and socks. (Easy to wrap haha…)
Easy to wrap is a definite plus, Rachel. I can usually give books to my daughter and husband, but my boys would roll their eyes if I gave them a book. Sigh. Hard to compete with video games. 🙂
Usually just books or a gift card…. could use another bookcase though, LOL
Me, too. My dream is to convert my formal dining room space into a personal library. Someday . . .
It would be wonderful to have some one give a care package. But than that is why I have Jesus and a few close friends whom we take care of each other. thanks for such a wonderful and generous give a way. I love that ornament. I have two other snowman marshmallow ornaments like this that are camping. got them as gifts when our son and my husband were doing a lot of camping in cub scouts and boy scouts. But I love this little book nerd. quilting dash lady at comcast dot net
Isn’t he cute? I have many snowmen decorating my house this time of year. 🙂
Socks, Mugs, and T-shirts
These are a few of my favorite things. (Cue Julie Andrews) 🙂
My Kindles are my favorite book things I have gotten for Christmas!
The gift that keeps on giving!
I love puzzles this time of year.
Me, too, Margaret. We always try to have a puzzle going over Christmas. Ideally, so everyone can help put it together. In actuality, I end up doing about 75-80% of the piecing, but that’s OK. 🙂
I have received key chains, mugs, candy, socks, pens, puzzles, and tote bags.
Very fun, Connie!
What a wonderful gift. Thanks for the opportunity. Books and book related items are always fun.
I agree!
Thank you, so much Karen. You are so sweet. This is a fabulous gift. I have received Amazon gift cards so I can buy what I want. Merry Christmas. God bless you.
Gift cards are always a good option!
My husband has built me bookshelves. Quite a few of them actually. My daughter has given me a sign every Christmas the past few years: BOOKAHOLIC, My Weekend Is Booked, etc.
Thank you for offering this wonderful giveaway.
I hope you are enjoying the Holiday Season. May you have a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful 2023.
I meant to mention the mug in the giveaway has my mantra on it. My husband has heard it way too many times. A nice selection of books and cute socks. I love the ornament.
Ha! I love that Patricia. And how wonderful to have a husband handy enough to build you shelves. Love that!
Wow! What a Awesome giveaway!!! I would love all those gifts. It would be great to have someone give you some bath salts & bubbly along with your great books or just to put your feet up & relax to read. Will be glad when Christmas is over, but; I do enjoy seeing everyone gathered together. Have a blessed Christmas & New Year’s with your family & friends.
Ooo – I like the way you think, Lois. Upping the cozy factor.
