Margaret has published more than 46 books and is a N.Y. Times Bestselling author and two-time Romance Writers of America Rita Finalist. She writes historical novels set--where else?--in the Old West! She has written for a day time soap and is currently working on a new series. Not bad for someone who flunked 8th grade English. Just don't ask her to diagram a sentence.

  1. Margaret- loved your blog, that’s some great lines. Your book cover is beautiful.
What I’d life you be Remember by: hum??
“I’m the sweet person you’ll ever meet until I’m angered, then you better watch out, this Texas girl will get her revenge.”

  2. Thanks, Margaret! What a fun way to start the day!
What to be remembered for…that’s a tough one. I would like to adapt a saying…
“She could give without loving but she couldn’t love without giving.”

  3. These were fun, Margaret. By far, my favorites were:

“I figure, if a girl wants to be a legend, she should just go ahead and be one.” -Calamity Jane
•“I ain’t afraid to love a man. I ain’t afraid to shoot him either.”-Annie Oakley

Gotta love a girl with spunk!

  4. Fun Quotes! I’m not sure what quote would I would be best remembered by. Hmm…
“Sometimes a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do”
“Sometimes it just takes a girl to get the job done”
Those are two things that I’m known for saying in my younger days. I used to be quite handy and took care of everything, sick babies, leaky plumbing, rebuilding walls, painting, hanging curtains, rods and all, grooming dogs and so much more. I had the nickname “Handy Andie” for a number of years.
Nowadays, I like to say, “Just sit down and read a book”

  5. I loved all of the sayings. Mine would be:
“The more people I meet, the more I love my cats.”
My cats have always been there for me when no one else was.

  6. Fun post! I have a couple I’ve heard that have stayed with me:
“When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.”
“Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.”
“Never miss a good chance to shut up.”

And I totally agree with Janine. For me it would be my dog has always been there for me when others weren’t. In fact, he’s sitting right by my side, right now, as he always is.

I also _found_ this fun one:
“Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or a fool from any direction.”

  7. These are fabulous!! I have always loved the Annie Oakley one of “…I ain’t afraid to shoot him either.” LOL

  8. Here goes mine…”If in this life I have brought a smile to one’s face, then I have done something.” Love your post, Margaret! Thank you for sharing.
