Every year my husband puts up our Christmas lights, and my favorite part is always the Christmas tree he fashions on the roof. It came about when we were going through old strings of lights several years ago, and he decided to get creative with a bunch of leftover green lights that didn’t match the multicolored strands we were using for the rest of the house. Other houses in the neighborhood might have fancier ornamentation, but no one else has a tree on the roof. It always makes me smile.
