Grab your silk fans, ladies, and start them flapping. It’s about to get very warm here at the Junction. We’re giving away prizes all this week and all you have to do to enter is cast your vote on some very fine specimens of western manhood. What could be better than free books and cowboy eye candy? When I need a hero for one of my books, there are certain qualities I look for. He must be rugged, strong, and capable of handling any challenge that comes his way. Much like  Hero #1. On the other hand, he must also be warm, tender, and a man who laughs. See Hero #2.

I’m entering a pair of lovely gents. Blake Shelton (Hero #3), who I think is going to be cast as the hero in my upcoming Christmas book. This is a guy who needs to be big as a barn door with a heart of gold.  And second up is Hugh Jackman (Hero #4). I swear he’s the sexiest drover on the planet.

    Okay, hero #2. I like the way he’s smiling, and he seems comfortable with his horse. You know what they say about animals and children.

    Hugh is always good, and the smiles are brilliant and appealing. But I vote for #1. I’ve had that hero on my bulletin board for awhile now. there’s just something about those eyes.

  9. I think #4. He just looks like the rugged type that can withstand things on the range. He seems a bit older than the rest – maybe he’s use to being out on the range and has more experience. He seems like a good protector.

  11. Whew doggies did the thermostat in the office just rise to 100 degrees?! I hate not to vote for Hugh, but I have to go with #2. He looks like a rascal…And the bods not bad either. ;o)

  18. Oooooo, do I really have to pick? I like #3’s smile although #2’s smile is wonderful too. Yes. One of them. That’s the best I can do at narrowing them down. Whew! And now I have to get to work. 🙂

  22. Boy this is a hard one but I am going with hero 2. The smile and the warm and tender part got the best of me. Who wouldn’t want a man that is warm and tender, that makes them loveable.

  23. Well those are some great hero’s but I have to got with hero #4.. it’s those eyes, they are so intense and it maybe that I just have a thing for Austrailan cowboys…

  24. Oh my, I can’t win, but I can sure look! LOL Karen I love both your choices, but I think I am in love with #2. He is so hot with that smile of his. And I love Blake Shelton–he’s from my neck of the woods here in Oklahoma. Love Hugh Jackman…is there any cowboy out there any sexier? Heck they are all sexy. I’m glad I’m not having to vote! LOL

  28. I am going with Hugh #4 but #2 is a close second. #2 is going purely on looks and I love that smile. But #4 I’ve seen on the screen and on TV talk shows – he’s a fantastic, versatile man with a great accent and actually seems like a decent person too!

  29. #2 is my choice because he is warm and tender, my type of man. Love the covers of your books. Another reason it appears he loves horses, my kid of man because I love horses too

  32. Hero #2 because I think a hero should be able not to take himself too seriously, which means he doesn’t realize he’s a hunk, and therefore he’s not egotistical. Yet, he is still capable of being protective and passionate all with a smile that can light up the darkness for his heroine.

  33. #3, Not only good looking, but Blake looks like a calm and affectionate man and sings, Oh My..What more can a woman want?
