Cowboys & Mistletoe – Pam Crooks

(POST  3 of 3  for Wednesday)

Now that our Cowboys & Mistletoe celebration is in full swing, I hope you’ve been enjoying the fun and silliness of trying to determine if we are telling you the truth – or lying right at you!!

It’s hard to beat a romantic Christmas story, isn’t it?  I’ve written several, but today I’m featuring THE CATTLEMAN’S CHRISTMAS BRIDE, Book 2 of my Wells Cattle Co. trilogy.

After Allethaire Gibson was kidnapped several years earlier in the wilds of Montana Territory, she tries hard to put her life back together in civilized Minnesota. She almost succeeds—until she’s framed for a crime she didn’t commit. With her reputation in shreds, she flees back to Montana to seek her father’s help in proving her innocence.

Mick Vasco never expects to see Allethaire again, but when he finds her in the middle of a train-robbery-in-progress, he has no choice but to kidnap her—again.

Together they race against time to find crucial answers. But during the blessed season of Christmas, they find wondrous gifts of forgiveness and love instead.

Winners and answers will be announced on Sunday 12/03.

1. I once celebrated Christmas with my family in a bike shop.

2. A couple of years ago, we made 18 pans of the Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls as gifts, and none of them raised.

3. My Christmas dinner was once delayed for several hours because the fresh turkey just wouldn’t get done.

  1. Howdy, everyone!! Love seeing you here with your guesses. I’ll be popping in over the next couple of days to keep an eye on things, but in the meantime, HAVE FUN!!

  2. Hey Pam! I’m going with #2 also. I’m thinking you all got together and shared outrageous stories! Then used some for yourselves! LOL Because I’m thinking these stories are TRUE for some of you! Heh.

  3. I’m going with #1 only because I’ve been there with the turkey and cinnamon rolls would make great gifts

  4. I’m guessing #2. AND – if readers haven’t read your book The Cattleman’s Christmas Bride, they should get it. It is a wonderful book. I just might have to re-read it Pam. I appreciate all the wonderful fun the fillies provide on petticoats and pistols. There is rarely a day that I miss reading the blog.

  5. #1 is just crazy enough to be true. Can’t wait to read your Christmas story since I just finished Books 1 of this series and read book 3 out of order. Loved them both, by the way. Putting Mik and Allethaire together is a real kick. That has to be real fun. Thanks for the entertainment.

    • Thank you for your kind words, Charlene!! So glad you’re enjoying the books, and yes, as you know, it’s great fun to use the same characters in multiple books. Really helps to keep them alive!

  6. Hello Pam! I started to say #3 but I thought naw thats something that could happen to me. So I’m saying #2 is false because by the time you baked a few pans of cinnamon rolls you will realize something is not right and you wouldn’t bake all 18 of them!

  7. I’m going to say #1 because it is so absurd – but I could certainly be wrong because sometimes life just happens to get crazy. But then #2 with 18 pans of not-rising-dough is pretty hard to take, too. you’d have to have a mighty big bowl to mix the dough and allow for rising. Then most kitchens won’t hold 18 pans unless you do a few at a time. So I’d go with #2. And then #3 if pretty absurd, too. A fresh turkey is no slower to cook than a one frozen that’s thawed to prepare to cook. Now should I just say all 3 are lies?

  8. I have no idea at all, so my guess would be #1 although it is plausible. For #2, a bad jar of yeast could cause this problem. For #3, cooking times for large birds can be tricky.

  9. My Christmas dinner was once delayed for several hours because the fresh turkey just wouldn’t get done.
