New On The Horizon!

LindaThe new year is all about looking forward, setting goals, dreaming of what you want to come true in the next twelve months. So what’s better than announcing another exciting release by Prairie Rose Publications.

HEARTS AND SPURS is another anthology offering by this new and swiftly rising western romance publisher.

And I’m going to be in this one! YAY! I’m thrilled to be included.

Here’s a little about my story THE WIDOW’S HEART:

Desperate and alone, Skye O’Rourke thinks her imagination is playing tricks on her when she sees a man emerge from the shimmering desert heat. No one would willingly take a stroll under the scorching sun with a saddle slung on his back. She’s shocked to discover it’s Cade Coltrain, a man she once gave her heart to only to have him give it back.

He simply asks for a place to rest up and then he’ll be on his way. A man running for his life has no right to more than that, especially when it involves the only woman who has the ability to make him whole again. If only he could stay. A lifetime would be too short with her. But he was beyond redemption.

Yet, the magnetism between them is too strong and they discover the love they once had still burns.

But, can she trust him not to abandon her this time? Trusting each other seems the only way they can survive.

And love might just save them if they believe….

This anthology releases mid-January, first as e-book then in print. Just maybe you have a little Christmas money left over that you’re itching to spend.

All the Hearts and Spurs ladies and I hope you’ll find these stories to your liking.

Here in the Texas Panhandle, we do love our cowboys. There's just something about a man in a Stetson and jeans that makes my heart beat faster. I'm not much of a cook but I love to do genealogy and I'm a bit of a rock hound. I'm also a NY Times & USA Today bestselling author of historical western romance. You can contact me through my website and I'd love to connect with you on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and more. HAPPY READING!

  1. Looks like folks are just waking up. I had a wonderful New Year and now am itching to really buckle down and get to work. I have lots to do this year. I’m turning in book one of my Bachelors of Battle Creek series in a few weeks but I’m already working on book two that will be due in October. And who knows what else I’ll do along the way. I’ll keep my eyes open for every opportunity. I hope everyone is as excited as I am about 2014. This is going to be a great year. I feel it in my bones.

    Happy New Year everyone!!

  2. Hi Tanya! Sending oodles of good things your way. I haven’t felt this level of excitement since my husband passed away almost seven years ago. The opportunities seem so close I can reach out and touch them. I know there will be disappointments and setbacks but that comes with the territory. We have to have some of those to keep us humble.

Can’t wait to read your story in Hearts and Spurs!

  3. Love the cover and I really enjoy reading anthologies. I will be looking for this one. Can’t wait to read it.

  11. You ladies are outdoing yourselves. I’m getting bogged down with ‘to be read’ books. They are coming at me fast and furious with dust and hay particles flying all over the place. This one is a must for me, too. Good luck on this one Linda. Sounds like a winner.
