I’m going to repeat my good news. I signed the contract for my Cowgirls of Larkspur Valley series with Harlequin. I’m so excited to get going on a new sweet series that features strong heroines and the men who disrupt their well-planned lives.

In other news, I got to spend Christmas with my grandbaby. She’s at the into-everything age and we had a blast.

Book #1 – Blackstone Ranch Series

Tule Publishing

When her dying friend pleads for help to finish a renovation project, Ava Howell can’t refuse, even though her promise means leaving her new career and familiar life in New York to travel to a remote ranch in Texas. She’s good at what she does, and the ghost town vacation resort would look great on her resume, but it means tangling with the ex-military cowboy who is determined to stop her as soon as she arrives.

Beau Paxton needs to sell the land and ghost town to save his family’s struggling ranch. He’s a formidable enemy to Ava’s determination, but the harder she works, the more his attraction for her grows. He doesn’t want to set aside his plans so she can succeed at hers, yet he finds himself doing just that…

Will a promise bring a city girl and a sexy cowboy together? Or will a broken one drive them apart?

Oh Boy! A New Release!

Two handsome neighbors …

Two beautiful pranksters …

And two sets of nervous parents.

Sadie and Lucy Weaver were the Weaver farm’s worst pranksters. It was their reputation, one that needed to be upheld. But when Sadie realizes that the only way to catch Taylor Wyndham’s eye is by acting like a lady at the annual Chirstmas dance, she’s torn between her reputation and getting the man she wants. And that’s not all. Taylor doesn’t seem interested no matter what she does. Thank Heaven his brother Brandon offers to help, and the two concoct a brilliant plan to win the hearts of each other’s siblings! But the best plans often go arwy and Sadie realizes the greatest joke of all might be on her.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I found an unexpected treasure while I was wrapping presents! It was down in the wrapping paper holder—a small, double-sided poster of the movie TITANIC with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.

What was so special about that? Well, that movie came out in 1997 when my daughter was 11. It was all the rage for months! By her 12th birthday in September 1998, the movie had been released on video— and there was no doubt about what she wanted for her birthday, but she also wanted a Titanic theme party.

So all her friends wore their “evening gowns” and we decorated the living room and I made popcorn for our “viewing” of Titanic. It was a definite hit! I had forgotten all about the posters and other items I’d bought to decorate with, but I guess I saved this one for “someday” – and then forgot about it, too.  I think she was as thrilled to get this poster back again as she was to have it the first time around. Lots of Yee-Hawing going on over this, for sure. Reminded me of when my mom found my old poster of Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid and gave it to me about 10 years later…I’d thought it was gone forever. Have you ever found something later you’d completely forgotten about? Makes you so happy!

Sammy and Max wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The Wild West Series, by Karen Kay.

Follow three friends as they attempt to undo a curse hanging over their people — a curse that threatens all their tribes’ children.

They join Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show in the late 1800’s at the same time two sisters are fleeing their home due to a terrible miscarriage of justice.  They join Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show in order to hide from the “law.”

Could love be the only way to avert a disaster?

Some fun news – Harlequin has reissued one of my Love Inspired Historical titles as part of a 2-in-1 volume. Her Holiday Family was a fun story to write – it features ten orphans, a very proper widow whose first husband was a con man and an easy going bachelor with no roots who all end up stuck in the same house together during the holiday season.

The Christmas Children…

Reserved widow Eileen Pierce never considered herself the kind of woman who was cut out to be a mother. She wouldn’t know what to do with one child, much less ten. But when handyman Simon Tucker is stranded in town with a group of young orphans just before Thanksgiving, she discovers she can’t just turn them away.

Simon knows there’s more to Eileen than meets the eye. Though his easygoing demeanor immediately clashes with her buttoned-up propriety, Simon’s kindness soon melts Eileen’s stern facade. Simon and the children already upended Eileen’s quiet, orderly life. Will they do the same to her guarded heart?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! The best part of it for me this year was having my son, Casey, and his wife, Kayla, host our dinner in their new home they bought in May. I still cooked a turkey and took it, but Casey had cooked a wonderful ham, and we had all kinds of great side dishes, too. How about you all? Was it all fantastic? I made that Christmas Cracker Candy I blogged about a few days back and it was just WONDERFUL!

And here are my boys, recovering from the leftovers they enjoyed!

A GREAT time was had by all, and believe me, we were all truly thankful for the blessings we have in our lives! Now we’re looking forward to Christmas!

Last month we got to take our first vacation in over two years. Had a wonderful time traveling up and down the California coast with hubby and daughter. Visited San Diego and San Francisco – went on a wine tour one day and the Japanese Tea Gardens another day. Mostly, we relaxed and had fun. Pardon all the pics without makeup. Hey, I was on vacation 🙂

Hope your holidays are going well & I hope you holiday shopping is either done or soon to be done.  I must admit that I still have quite a bit of shopping yet to do.  The three (3) above books are The Wild West series,  BLUE THUNDER AND THE FLOWER being the 3rd and last book in the series.  It was just released in August of this year.  The first book in this series, THE EAGLE AND THE FLAME, is on sale for $.99.

It’s been about 2-3 years since either of these above books have been on sale.  These two books make up THE CLAN OF THE WOLF series.  Both of these books are on sale for $.99.  Pick them up while they are on sale.

Another series on sale right now is the Iroquois Warrior Series.  There are two books in this series and they are connecting stories.  Both books are on sale for $99.  The first book in the series is BLACK EAGLE and the second book is SENECA SURRENDER.

May your Christmas be merry and your New Year filled with all good things.

Merry Christmas!

Mrs. Pettigrew, my eccentric matchmaker for 12 books, finally gets her own tale. And what a tale it is!

I’ve started a new tradition with my readers and do a mash up holiday story every year. These books have characters from different series of mine (some even from my other pen name) and get together in a holiday romp sure to tickle your funny bone. This year’s was a lot of fun!

Mischief, Marriage and Mayhem, matchmaker Mrs. Pettigrew excels at them all!

Yet, for all her wealth and eccentric ways, something’s missing in her life. To remedy the siuation, she invites several very different mail-order brides and their husbands to spend part of the Christmas season with her. She hasn’t ventured out of her mansion in years, and what better way to do it than in the company of happy couples she’s brought together?

But those happy couples, even as different as they are, are quick to notice they have something Mrs. Pettigrew doesn’t and think it’s high time she did. Can her house guests play matchmaker as well as Mrs. Pettigrew herself? Find out in this mash-up of characters from some of Kit Morgan’s other Mail-Order Bride Ink stories. Not to mention a very special dance instructor.
