Re-released book–Deep Trouble

Adventure in the Grand Canyon in the Old West

I regained my rights to this book so I’m casting it upon the waters…….or something. No paperback copy. The price just seems wild. They didn’t used to cost that much, did they? Anyway, I feel guilty charging that much so ebook only, at least for now.

My heroine thinks the Seven Cities of Gold are in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Shannon inherited a map from her father…nicknamed Delusional Dysart.

But she never called him that.

My hero thinks she’s insane. Gabe can’t talk her out of going. So he decides someone’s gotta keep her alive and it looks like it’s him.

Also there are people trying to steal her map.

More crazy people who believe in cities of gold.

What could possibly go wrong?

Deep Trouble

Gabe Lasley and Shannon Dysart are an unlikely pair. He’s an aimless wanderer who wants nothing other than to be left alone. She’s a fearless female determined to find a city of gold. When they are forced together the mayhem begins. As they set out to find the treasure, trouble is hot on their trail. Will the dream of gold color every decision Shannon makes? Will Gabe fail yet another helpless female in his life?

On sale right now, it released yesterday, ebook only: $3.99

Grab a copy because I think it’s pretty funny.

Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon? Let’s talk beautiful places in nature. Where’s the prettiest place you’ve ever been?

  1. My husband and I visited the Grand Canyon close to 30 years ago. I loved the different colors in the rocks and shadow areas caused by the overhead clouds. I enjoy your books and this one sounds like one I would enjoy reading also.

  2. Happy Book Release!

I’ve only seen it from an airplane.

Hawai’i was the most beautiful place I have visited.

  3. I have never been to the Grand Canyon, but it’s on my list of places I want to see. I think our country has so many beautiful places it’s hard to pick just one. But my favorite place will always be home with my family and enjoying a good book. I actually have this book and the other one in the series on my book shelf. May have to reread it this week. 🙂

    • Danielle I’ve only started to travel a bit since my kids have grown up. I haven’t seen SO MUCH. I’m sort of old and doddering now, so places with long hikes and lots of steps are about out of my league.

  4. yes I have been to the Grand Canyon multiple times over my life. once when my dads parents came along, we traveled up a ways, up north into the trees. oh but that was beautiful.

    • Lori, I’ve been there twice. Once before my first child was born…..and she’s mid-forties now! And once right before Covid…so 2020. Big gap and we saw different sites. so beautiful

  5. I have never been to the Grand Canyon. We have Providence Canyon in Lumpkin, GA. It is known as the Little Grand Canyon. It is beautiful. I’m taking three of my grandchildren there as a Christmas gift from this past Christmas. I don’t give them presents; I give them memories.

  6. Yes, I have been to the Grand Canyon when we took a road trip to the southwest. I have seen so many beautiful places it is hard to pick one. They all have their own beauty..the Alps, the Andes, Greece, the Pacific Coast, the red rocks of Sedona. God’s creation is so varied and beautiful.

  7. I’ve been told that Waimea Canyon is a smaller version of the Grand Canyon, but I can’t compare them because I’ve never been to the Grand Canyon. Waiemea Canyon is in Hawaii and it is gorgeous.

  8. I have never been to the Grand Canyon. But one of the most beautiful spots I have been to is The Snowy Range Mountains in Wyoming.

    • I’m reading these comments and then googling places. I’ve been to Laramie and we were so tempted to drive on into the mountains, what we’d seen was so pretty. But we’d been gone from home for a long time. It was time to turn back.

  9. I’ve not been to the Grand Canyon. There are so many beautiful places for different reasons. Outer Banks and just driving through NC and seeing the blue ridge mountains. Vermont in the snow. Kentucky and Tennessee.

  10. Yes, I have been to the grand canyon. It is truly a marvel made with God’s hands. The most beautiful place is the surreal views overlooking the eastern side of Oahu. We were up on Pala’s overlook. It truly looked as if it was surreal and it took my breath away. I took several photos, but it cannot duplicate the realism I experienced.

  11. I have never been to the Grand Canyon but have always wanted to go. The world is covered in beautiful places. I live in KY and to me it is a beautiful place.

    • Sounds lovely. Honestly, I’m from Nebraska and when I hear people talk about how green Ireland is, I think “Greener than right out my back door? I don’t see how it could be.”

  12. No I’ ve never been but always wanted too . I live in Arkansas and think it is one of the most beautiful states

  13. I haven’t been to the Grand Canyon, though it’s on my bucket list!! I live 15 to 20 minutes (depending on traffic) from the Atlantic Ocean. To me, just watching the waves and hearing their roar shows how big God is!

  14. Hi, yes I have been to the Grand Canyon and it is majestic ! I have also been to the Rain forest in Puerto Rico and Hawaii and they are a site to see. I also traveled on a train to the Copper canyon in Mexico and that is really something to see. So many Beautiful places that God has given us to see and explore.

  15. Yes, I’ve been to the Grand Canyon. Twice. It’s a beautiful place, very awe-inspiring, & a bit scary if you get too close to the edge!!
One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been was Zion National Park in Utah. So incredibly awesome!
I’ve been blessed to see a lot of God’s beautiful creation here in the US. Some of my favs are the mountains of West Virginia (I lived in Pocahontas County for six years & it still owns a little piece of my heart), the Redwoods in California (SO HUGE!), Utah was full of unique beauty, & Colorado had some very majestic scenery (although I didn’t care for the higher elevation). Someday I hope to see Maine… it’s been on my bucket list for years & I’m sure the pics I’ve seen do not do justice to the beauty to be seen in person!!

  16. I have never been to the Grand Canyon. I love the beautiful mountains in West Virginia. Thank you so much for sharing. Happy re release day for your book. God bless you.

  17. Been to Grand Canyon twice. Last time we went took a train ride there. It was sooo awesome. Going to Yellowstone in October. That has been on my bucket list for a long time.

  18. We have been to the Grand Canyon several times. Unfortunately the one time we had time to hike down in, our daughter had an allergic reaction to some mediation partway down the trail. It was a long hot hike back up. My husband made better time with our other two children. We were to spend a week on the North Rim about 10 years ago, but a family emergency called us home the day before we got there. We would like to go back, but neither one of us can do much hiking anymore. We have been lucky enough to travel a bit and have found that each place has its own special beauty which is hard to compare with others. Our favorite is the Northeast in Fall. I grew up in the New England mountains and love them year round, but especially in full fall color.
