Christmas Decor Crawl ~ Mary Connealy

I had a different plan for the decor crawl.

but then I was in some cute little shop, not really looking for a front door hanger because I have a perfectly nice one

 and I saw this:

It just spoke to me.

Peace on Earth

Dear God, Let there be peace on Earth

It seems so often, and never more than now

when there is so much ugliness right by where our Savior was born in Bethlehem,

that

Peace on Earth

is an impossible dream.

Maybe, just pause for one moment, right now, and pray for

Peace on Earth

I believe we all know only a miracle could bring such a thing.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Maybe 2024 will bring peace.

I’ll pray and I’ll hope,

but I won’t hold my breath.

And also, I need to paint my front door.

  1. I love Cardinals, and Peace on Earth is great for every season! I had my front door painted 2 years ago when the house was painted. My front door is purple, the shade is called Happy Dance.

  2. That sign says it all. Peace on earth would be a marvelous thing to experience. I pray for peace on earth almost daily because the world is in such turmoil now. Thanks for the refresher. God Bless & joyous Christmas to you & yours

  3. Oh I love it! Peace on earth would be a wonderful thing to have right now. I want a new front door that I have been trying to get my husband to replace it the past few years. I don’t think its going to happen so I will have to paint mine again.

  4. I love this, Mare. We don’t need more “stuff” (unless it’s books). We need a better world.
    Your Kaybee

  5. “Cardinals appear when angels are near” is the message on an ornament I saw in the Christmas Current catalog. That’s a good reason to buy another (very lovely, message and illustration) Christmas door banner, Mary!
    Hugs,
    Mary

  6. With everything going on in the world, Peace is the best gift we could all give and receive. It seems we often forget the importance of being kind, understanding, and considerate to each other. The world would be so. much better if we were.
