Cowboys & Mistletoe – Cathy McDavid

(POST  1 of 3  for Monday)

Happy holidays, everyone. Cathy McDavid here. So glad you’re here to play along with our Cowboys and Mistletoe holiday game. I’m going to do my best to fool you, but I think some of you may have been paying attention to my posts and be able to figure it out! I’m excited to feature my holiday release from last year, Blizzard Refuge. Yes, the book is a romantic suspense, but there really is a strong Christmas theme. Here’s the back cover blurb:

“Caught in a snowstorm…and a killer’s crosshairs!

A blizzard traps federal witness Kiera Driscoll and her seven-month-old daughter in the mountains with little hope of survival. Until Nash Myers shows up. Nash insists on sheltering them and their US marshal escort at his family cabin. Trusting a stranger feels beyond risky, yet Kiera has no choice. She must protect her baby. But as the storm closes in, so do the threats to her life…”

My giveaway for Cowboys and Mistletoe is a copy of Blizzard Refuge and a Nativity

Cathy McDavid’s Two Truths and a Lie:

We once owned an antique wooden horse-drawn sleigh and dragged it out of storage every year.

When my children were young, they played characters in the church Christmas pageant, along with our donkey.

My husband was recruited as a last-minute substitute Santa Claus at the senior living facility where my late mother resided.

Cathy McDavid has been penning Westerns for Harlequin since 2005. With over 55 titles in print and 1.6 million-plus books sold, Cathy is also a member of the prestigious Romance Writers of America’s Honor Roll. This “almost” Arizona native and mother of grown twins is married to her own real-life sweetheart. After leaving the corporate world seven years ago, she now spends her days penning stories about good looking cowboys riding the range, busting broncs, and sweeping gals off their feet — oops, no. Make that winning the hearts of feisty, independent women who give the cowboys a run for their money. It a tough job, but she’s willing to make the sacrifice.

  1. I think #3 is the lie – My husband was recruited as a last-minute substitute Santa Claus at the senior living facility where my late mother resided.

  2. LOL Hey Cathy! They could all be true! I’m going to guess #1. I’m not sure why, that would be cool! The other two could be my life! Heh.

  3. My guess is #1. The horse drawn sleigh, because it’s the one I most want to be true. Riding in a horse drawn sleigh is pretty close to the top of my bucket list.

  4. I’m guessing the second one is the lie, although that actually did happen in my family! The church we used to attend had an outdoor Christmas drama 2 years in a row. I played an angel the first year, and the Angel of the Lord the second year, and our donkey carried Mary to Bethlehem both years!

  5. I am going with number 1. Although they all sound like they could be true. I think I have changed my mind too many times. I am sticking with this one.

  6. I debate between one and two. I’ll go with two. By the way I read your profile. I lived in Arizona for 4 1/3 years. Goodyear/Avondale area. I would love to read and review your book.

  7. 2 – When my children were young, they played characters in the church Christmas pageant, along with our donkey.

  8. My guess would be #1 about the antique sleigh is a lie. You very likely did have your children and donkey in a pageant, and my husband has been “recruited” to be Santa at a nursing home (and other places) several times.
