I love, love, love writing Christmas stories, especially if there is a cowboy involved.
It’s been a joy and a blessing to have three Christmas stories releasing this holiday season. Although all three of them are part of various series, they can all be read as stand alone titles.
Savoring Christmas is book 10 in the Rodeo Romance series. One reviewer wrote, “This book was magical!”
Honestly, I think the whole “falling in love” thing is pretty wonderful and magical, and I never get tired of writing about it. Not ever.
In this story, we have a quiet, kinda shy cowboy named Troy, and a spunky food truck owner (tater tots!) named Lark. Troy is a hungry, lonesome cowboy and Lark has big plans for her future. It’s going to take some holiday magic to get them to realize what they really need is each other.
The Christmas Kiss is book 10 in the Hardman Holidays series. It involves an old west cowboy named Cord (for those of you who have read the series, Cord is a cousin to Luke Granger) and a feisty woman named Gracy who is about to set him on his ear! Gracy grew up in Hardman, but has been gone almost six years. She returns as a surprise for her parents, but she’s one left in shock when nothing is as she expects it to be, including some good-looking, grumpy cowboy who has taken over her family ranch, and let’s his little boy run wild over what was once her home.
The book releases December 8!
Guiding the Grinch is part of the Summer Creek series (although when I talk about Summer Creek, I want to say family instead of series because this quirky small town really hits home with me).
This book about did me in trying to get it written and to my editor on time. I started it on a Tuesday afternoon and began writing like my life depended on it. I finished it in the wee hours of the morning Sunday night/Monday morning after writing almost 30,000 words in one day, for a total of 93,000-ish words. I’m not sure my brain has fully recovered. But the story was such fun to write!
Gabe is a billionaire from Oklahoma City. The thought of another holiday season spent with his demanding families sends him running away to the town where his grandmother was raised. He’s never visited Summer Creek, and has no idea what to expect. Although he’s trying to stay under the radar, a woman full of sunshine – Dani, the waitress who makes him feel at home – dubs him Mr. Grinch, and the name sticks. Soon everyone in town is referring to him by that name, even though Gabe confesses he’s never watched a single Christmas movie or cartoon! (Gasp!) It’s a fun adventure as Dani guides him into the holiday season and into finally finding love.
This fun, fun story releases December 15!
