Happy 4th of July!

“You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4th, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where the kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.

You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.”

The fillies wish you all a safe, fun-filled day full of family and love for our great country!

God Bless America!

Please know that many of the fillies are celebrating this inspiring holiday, but if you’re so inclined, tell us how you are celebrating today!

  1. Happy 4th of July!! I’ll be listening to fireworks around my house again tonight, and watching A Capitol Fourth on PBS!

  2. My flag is flying over a peaceful summer’s day. No other activities planned except to watch the celebrations on TV which have been magnificent so far. Happy 4th of July and may GOD bless this nation anew.

  3. Today, here, we still have farm life going on! Unloading hay wagons and doing chores. But hubby and son got off work so at least we have them home! Daughter still has to work since it’s a horse farm she works at and they still have to be taken care of. We can see quite a few fireworks shows from our farm so that is nice not to have to drive anywhere. Have a wonderful day!!

  4. Happy 4th of July!

The fighter jets have been flying over my house the past half-hour. Presumably en route to D.C.

As for us, we’ll just have a quiet day at home and watch fireworks from an upstairs window later.

  5. Happy 4th of July to all! We are just taking it easy at home and tonight we will go enjoy the fireworks display our town offers, it is always a good show! You have fun and stay safe.

  6. Our youngest granddaughter came home from Girl Scout camp on Friday, and now this evening, getting our older granddaughter home from church camp, and having the entire family here together is the best holiday I can think of! Then hamburgers on the grill, corn on the cob, and strawberries on pineapple angel food cake with tons of whipped cream. Maybe some time in the pool. Watching Disney family movies. Can’t get better than that.

  7. Hope all the fillies had a fabulous day. An important day to remember all the men and women who helped us gain and keep our freedom. Our son and his wife came over for the day and we bbq’d and watched a movie and just spent time together. Was quite and peaceful and slow. Perfect day.
