It’s Yee-Haw Day!

Welcome to Yee-Haw Day, the once-a-month day we’ve reserved to share our news with you – all sorts of fun news!

So check out the post below to get the details on the kinds of things that make us go Yee-Haw!!

Some fun news – Harlequin has reissued one of my Love Inspired Historical titles as part of a 2-in-1 volume. Her Holiday Family was a fun story to write – it features ten orphans, a very proper widow whose first husband was a con man and an easy going bachelor with no roots who all end up stuck in the same house together during the holiday season.

HER HOLIDAY FAMILY

The Christmas Children…

Reserved widow Eileen Pierce never considered herself the kind of woman who was cut out to be a mother. She wouldn’t know what to do with one child, much less ten. But when handyman Simon Tucker is stranded in town with a group of young orphans just before Thanksgiving, she discovers she can’t just turn them away.

Simon knows there’s more to Eileen than meets the eye. Though his easygoing demeanor immediately clashes with her buttoned-up propriety, Simon’s kindness soon melts Eileen’s stern facade. Simon and the children already upended Eileen’s quiet, orderly life. Will they do the same to her guarded heart?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! The best part of it for me this year was having my son, Casey, and his wife, Kayla, host our dinner in their new home they bought in May. I still cooked a turkey and took it, but Casey had cooked a wonderful ham, and we had all kinds of great side dishes, too. How about you all? Was it all fantastic? I made that Christmas Cracker Candy I blogged about a few days back and it was just WONDERFUL!

And here are my boys, recovering from the leftovers they enjoyed!

A GREAT time was had by all, and believe me, we were all truly thankful for the blessings we have in our lives! Now we’re looking forward to Christmas!

I am so pleased to announce that I just signed a deal with Harlequin to write three sweet contemporary western books–The Cowgirls of Larkspur Valley. I’m excited for this series which features feisty cowgirls who meet their matches–literally. 🙂

I’m participating in a fun Christmas Christian Fiction scavenger hunt this week. You can start by visiting my post and then hop from one blog to the next until you’ve collected all the answers. There are 25 blogs in total. Have fun!

I’m in a temporary free collection with some other fantastic western authors. I thought you all might enjoy a free ebook for Christmas. You can grab it from your favorite online retailer. Click the image to be taken to your favorite store.

Last month we got to take our first vacation in over two years. Had a wonderful time traveling up and down the California coast with hubby and daughter. Visited San Diego and San Francisco – went on a wine tour one day and the Japanese Tea Gardens another day. Mostly, we relaxed and had fun. Pardon all the pics without makeup. Hey, I was on vacation 🙂

Howdy!

Hope your holidays are going well & I hope you holiday shopping is either done or soon to be done.  I must admit that I still have quite a bit of shopping yet to do.  The three (3) above books are The Wild West series,  BLUE THUNDER AND THE FLOWER being the 3rd and last book in the series.  It was just released in August of this year.  The first book in this series, THE EAGLE AND THE FLAME, is on sale for $.99.

It’s been about 2-3 years since either of these above books have been on sale.  These two books make up THE CLAN OF THE WOLF series.  Both of these books are on sale for $.99.  Pick them up while they are on sale.

Another series on sale right now is the Iroquois Warrior Series.  There are two books in this series and they are connecting stories.  Both books are on sale for $99.  The first book in the series is BLACK EAGLE and the second book is SENECA SURRENDER.

May your Christmas be merry and your New Year filled with all good things.

Merry Christmas!

Mrs. Pettigrew, my eccentric matchmaker for 12 books, finally gets her own tale. And what a tale it is!

I’ve started a new tradition with my readers and do a mash up holiday story every year. These books have characters from different series of mine (some even from my other pen name) and get together in a holiday romp sure to tickle your funny bone. This year’s was a lot of fun!

Mischief, Marriage and Mayhem, matchmaker Mrs. Pettigrew excels at them all!

Yet, for all her wealth and eccentric ways, something’s missing in her life. To remedy the siuation, she invites several very different mail-order brides and their husbands to spend part of the Christmas season with her. She hasn’t ventured out of her mansion in years, and what better way to do it than in the company of happy couples she’s brought together?

But those happy couples, even as different as they are, are quick to notice they have something Mrs. Pettigrew doesn’t and think it’s high time she did. Can her house guests play matchmaker as well as Mrs. Pettigrew herself? Find out in this mash-up of characters from some of Kit Morgan’s other Mail-Order Bride Ink stories. Not to mention a very special dance instructor.

You can find the book on Amazon

  2. So nice to hear about the celebrating of the holidays. As I was reading I did pick up some books that I look forward to reading!! Thank you!! Yee Haw!!

  3. Congrats to everybody who is celebrating today! Some fun new books and vacations going on. I love hearing the news from you all! Merry Christmas!

  4. Winnie. – I read HER HOLIDAY FAMILY several years ago. It is a touching story. Now I need to find my copy and read it again. I have not read The Sheriff’s Christmas Twins.

Cheryl. – The pictures are wonderful. They reflect how many people felt after their Thanksgiving feasting. We had only our son and his wife over. Our daughter-in-law took most of the leftovers for her dog before I put some aside for our dog. Just as well since our’s needs to lose a bit of weight and has been doing well on her diet. I am so glad you had a wonderful day.

Jeannie. – Congratulations on your new contract. I will be looking for the series.

Karen W. – Thank you for the link. I have participated in this type of event several time and it is fun.

Kari – Thank you for the link for the book. It is a nice group of authors, most of whom I have read and enjoyed before.

Cathy. – It looks like you had a wonderful vacation. How nice to be able to share it with your daughter. We also recently took one for the first time in 2 years. Unfortunately it was one of those that does not go as planned and much of what could go wrong did. We still enjoyed it, probably because at least we were away from home. You look just fine without makeup. Half the time it isn’t worth the effort anyway.

Karen K. – All good books listed. I especially liked your Gen Bailey set. Most likely because they happen where I grew up. The Wild West series is my next focus.

Kit. – Dear Mrs. Pettigrew sounds like a delightful book. It is always fun to see the tables turned on someone, especially when people are trying to do something nice for someone else.

I hope all you ladies have a wonderful December.
