Changes In The Corral!

Renee promo5The Fillies were heartbroken to lose Renee Ryan a few weeks ago. She saddled her horse and rode off and we were mighty sad to see her go. Renee always posted interesting blogs and was such a big part of this P&P family. We wish her well in all her endeavors and much success in her writing career. She writes some darn good inspirational western romances. If you see Miss Renee coming down the trail, give her a big wave and say howdy. And I’m sure she’ll back as a guest so be watching.

Kathleen Pub Photo 1We welcome a new Filly sister, Kathleen Rice Adams, with open arms. Kathleen lives and breathes the old West so she’ll fit in perfectly here. She’ll be a wonderful addition. Miss Kathleen is a professional journalist, history buff and animal lover. And now she can add western romance writer to her resume. She has four novellas and a full length to her credit and I’m sure her mind is busy churning out a new one. I’ve heard tell through the grapevine that she’s a rabble-rouser, but frankly I don’t believe a word of it. She’ll post her first blog on Wednesday, November 19. Get ready because she writes some real entertainin’ ones. We hope y’all will make her very welcome.

When I'm not keepin' all these Fillies in line, I'm practicing my roping so I can catch me a cowboy. Me and Jasper (my mule) are two peas in a pod. Both of us are as crotchety as all get-out.

  1. I do hope Renee Ryan comes back to visit often. She will be missed.

Welcome, Kathleen. I am looking forward to learning more about you and your writing.

  2. Hi Kathleen! I’m just thrilled to death to welcome you into the fold. You already know so many of us so it’s kinda like old home week. Park your horse in the corral and unpack your bags because we want you to make yourself at home. I’m really looking forward to your posts and tapping into your amazing brain power. You have such extensive knowledge about Texas history and the old West. So grab you a cup of coffee and join us around the campfire. We saved you a spot.

    • Arbuckles? Heck yeah! Somebody scoot over and make a spot for me on that there log.

Linda, I’m plumb tickled to be here. My first post on Wednesday will be about sheep in Texas, so I’ll probably get run out of town right off the bat. 😀

      BIG HUGS to you, lady!
