Julianne Maclean Comes Calling

Hello Darlings,

Miss Julianne Maclean has climbed aboard the stage and will arrive here on Saturday, February4th.

The dear lady has made quite a name for herself if I do say so myself. She likes scandalous lords and noblemen and cowboys who travel back in time.

The Fillies are happy to have her and look forward to seeing her blog with us.

So rise and shine when the rooster crows and rub the sleep out of your eyes.

We’d love it if you stop by and sit a spell…chew the fat if you will.

When I'm not keepin' all these Fillies in line, I'm practicing my roping so I can catch me a cowboy. Me and Jasper (my mule) are two peas in a pod. Both of us are as crotchety as all get-out.

  1. I love Julianne’s books. I have been trying to think of favorite western romance and have had a brain freeze. I don’t know if these count as western authors, but they are cowboy authors. Carolyn Brown and Linda Lael Miller

  2. I have Julianne’s books on my “must buy” list and love them. I think it’ funny that in the old west-men were judged by the “hair on their chest” (there’s an old song “The Lavender Cowboy” Burl Ives sang it) about a cowboy who rub hair tonic but no new hair grew that night and all that he did (macho stuff) but no hair!
TODAY—all the bookcover chests are bare of hair! The real cowboys would get a hoot out of that. I must agree that Linda Lael Miller has my vote except that I read one western (time travel) where the hero was so real and so (I KNOW this man) that I cried real tears over it but that was so long ago I can’t think of the title (Before I saved books).
NOW I have a Nook and will be able to make my favorite really “keepers”!

Keep up the great work Julianne. I LOVE time travel and they are really hard to find today.

  3. Larry McMurtry’s Lonesome Dove is my all time favorite western romance novel. The movie with Robert DuVall showed the deep yearning and love
of the time in the hard West. I still read this book from time to time.

  4. My favorite western is All I Need is You by Johanna Lindsey. I originally read it in paperback but then when I moved to ebooks, I had to have it on my nook.

  5. Julieanne is one of my favorite authors and I was never into Western Romances until I read her new Taken By the Cowboy Time Travel Romance so I have to say that is my favorite one.
