Anne Carrole Gallops Into Town

annecarroleYee haw! Hold onto your bloomers.

Anne Carrole has saddled up and is coming around the bend. She’ll spend Saturday with the Fillies and all our friends. If that don’t beat all. Ah’m so excited to welcome the pretty lady back.

Miz Anne is the co-founder of the website Love Western Romances. And durn if she hasn’t written herself a book! A romance that’s set during a rodeo. The book is called Re-Ride at the Rodeo. It’s a real humdinger too. On Saturday, Miz Anne will shed some light on the rodeo in the early days as well as modern times and tell us about her story. If you twist her arm a little she’ll even give us the low-down on how it feels to get bucked off a spooked horse seeing as how she’s had the experience. Not too fun to hear her tell it.

Get your spurs on and grab a front row seat. Help us roll out the welcome  mat. Yee haw!

When I'm not keepin' all these Fillies in line, I'm practicing my roping so I can catch me a cowboy. Me and Jasper (my mule) are two peas in a pod. Both of us are as crotchety as all get-out.

  1. Haven’t been bucked off a horse, but my sister was. Had the breath knocked out of her. Didn’t know she could turn that shade of red. My daughter was pulled off a mule while leading another one while on a wagon train at Boy Scout camp. She cracked her hip bone, but the doctors missed it. Sent her back to work. 15 years later, it is giving her a lot of trouble. Rodeo riders’ bodies certainly do take a beating.
