Linda Ford Arrives Tomorrow

The lovely and talented Linda Ford will arrive right here at Wildflower Junction bright and early tomorrow. She’s a delightful guest. She’ll be amazing us with what it’s like to raise fourteen younguns on a ranch in Alberta, Canada. Ah can’t imagine how much energy and determination that takes. Lord have mercy!

Miss Linda will also talk about her new book, “The Journey Home.” It’s a story set in the Great Depression and I’m looking forward to hearing more about this.

Hitch up your buggy and join us. The Fillies are sure to give Miss Linda a rousing welcome.

When I'm not keepin' all these Fillies in line, I'm practicing my roping so I can catch me a cowboy. Me and Jasper (my mule) are two peas in a pod. Both of us are as crotchety as all get-out.

  1. Linda, I absolutely love your depression era setting! Such a difficult time for everyone who lived through that period. Makes for some great conflicts though!

Where do you go to research the little details? I’m writing a WW1 story right now and getting the clothing right was tricky, I had to look in several books to finally figure out what nurses wore. Do you have a favorite reference source?

    Cheers, Julie Rowe

  2. Boy, fourteen children and you still found time to write. You make me feel lazy. LOL. I really admire your ambition to help children. And large families are so nice. The children learn so many things from each other.
