Woo-Hoo! I’m excited to show the cover of my May release, Twice a Texas Bride. I love this cover and the expression on the couple’s faces. So much love in the way he’s touching her and she’s leaning into him. I cried when I first saw it.
For those who don’t know, this is the second book in my Bachelors of Battle Creek series.

Do you find stories with children in them much deeper or would you prefer it only to contain adults? For myself, I think a child/children adds so much more emotion and depth. All three of my Bachelor of Battle Creek series contain children.

The cover is lovely! 🙂 And I do love it when children are involved in books. I don’t think I fully realized it until I was writing my third (out of four) book and there are children in each one. I guess I really do like writing about them. 😀
Hi Faith…….Thanks for stopping by. Great to see you. It’s strange but I used to hate books with children in them. I just wanted the romance, the hero and heroine falling in love and living happily ever after. I thought kids cluttered up everything. My thinking changed when I was in my late 40s. Now, I can’t imagine writing a story without at least one child in it.

Your story sounds wonderful, Linda! And the cover is gorgeous! Love the purple in the sky. I think having children in stories can really add a lot. They tug on the heartstrings, add humor and charm, and do a good job of revealing the true nature of the characters in how they respond to them.
I don’t have children in all my stories, but they certainly appear in many of them. In fact, my next release, A Worthy Pursuit, has three children who play a significant role in the plot. Maybe it’s because I have three kids of my own, but I always tend to get more emotionally involved when a child’s welfare is at stake in a story.
Hi Karen……Thank for your compliment on my cover. I think you’re right about children serving as a plot device in some cases. They can show so much about our characters. And the emotional depth they add is just something I want to capitalize on. So far, I only have book since publishing that didn’t have a child in it.

yes i like children in books,,a lot of marriages start with children in tow,,its hard to bond with another persons child but it can be done,,my bio father was killed in a accident when my mom was pregnant with me and my sister was 2 yrs old,,I was 5 months old when she remarried,,and he was the only Daddy I ever knew,,I named my daughter after him,,we were so very close
