Some young male riders will barrel race, and i even know of one man who still does. It is however normal for only women to participate in this event. Bulldogging or steer wrestling is when the cowboy slides off of his horse next to the back of a steer grabbing the steers horns and throwing then down in one swift motion. I got to go see the parade up close before hand too. It was best I've seen. I also lived next door to a guy who rode in a rodeo in Texas and went to the small town rodeo a few times. God Bless.
